The Albanese government has paved the way for a new era of interventionist industrial policy based on community benefit with the arrival of its Future Made in Australia legislation.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers introduced the Future Made in Australia Bill to Parliament on Wednesday, arguing that it will help the country “build a more diversified and a more resilient economy powered by renewable energy”.
