‘Just the beginning’: First local quantum testbed gathers pace

Australia’s first national quantum testbed may still be months from launching, but project lead and University of Queensland Associate Professor Arkady Fedorov is already hopeful about its success.

“If things go well, and the [testbed] proves useful, there could be many testbeds based on different technologies in Australia in the future,” Dr Fedorov told InnovationAus.com.

The ambitious project could also prove-up an approach that some of the country’s leading quantum startups have backed as the right strategy for further developing a technology that is far from certainty.
