Tendertrace readies its UK expansion via London Tech Week

It has been a massive few weeks for Sydney-based data intelligence startup Tendertrace, having stormed through the London Tech Week ahead of the company’s expansion into the UK.

The company also added a powerful GenAI assistant to its procurement data platform, enabling contract searches in natural language, and instant analysis of the top 50 returns.

It’s a watershed moment for Tendertrace, which is shifting gears from its early focus on Australia to international markets, with a plan to have a UK operation in place later this year.

In this episode of the Commercial Disco, Tendertrace co-founder and chief revenue officer Luli Adeyemo talks in detail about the AI opportunity (and its GenAI assistant named Tracey) and downloads the learnings from London Tech Week.

Ms Adeyemo participated in a trade mission led by Tribe Global Ventures, and had also already been identified by the UK government’s Global Entrepreneur Programme which seeks to attract promising tech companies to establish themselves in Britain.

There is a lot that Australia can learn from London Tech Week. It has a focus on business outcomes in a way that does not happen at technology events in this country.

The company is three the four months away from establishing a direct presence in the UK. The UK platform itself is built and ready. And the challenges facing customers in the UK market are largely the same as the challenges facing those in Australia.

The Tendertrace customer base in Australia includes large-scale multinationals, and Ms Adeyemo says it has already met with UK subsidiaries of these existing customers.

Analysing procurement data is not everyone’s cup of tea. But if you sell to the government, Ms Adeyemo outlines the mechanisms that enable a more productive understanding of the opportunities that are available, and what the competitor landscape looks like.

And if you have never been to London Tech Week – but have always wondered whether its worth making the trip – Ms Adeyemo unpacks the highlights, and provides a roadmap to getting there.
