The Albanese government has copped a ton of criticism for its slow-moving regulatory response to artificial intelligence since OpenAI’s ChatGPT burst onto the scene, and for good reason.
While other countries were quick to respond with policy, whether good or bad, or bowled up billions of dollars in investment, Australia’s policy efforts have so far amounted to not much at all.
