The New South Wales government has put the legislation behind its Digital Restart Fund under review, after all but exhausting the $2.1 billion in funding set aside for digital works during the pandemic.
The statutory review will consider the ongoing “need for a centralised, legislated fund”, which has fundamentally changed how digital and ICT investments are planned, implemented and managed in the state over the last five years.
