Sydney-based tech firm AI-Media is on a mission to make language barriers a thing of the past, with the development of real-time translation services for meetings.
The company provides artificial intelligence-powered voice translation, captioning and language orchestration.
In its new offering, LEXI Voice, the company instantly translate live broadcasts into multiple languages, which is then spoken in a natural, AI-generated voice, all based on the company’s existing captioning technology.
“That translation can be delivered directly to an individual audience member, whether through their mobile device, headphones or venue audio systems, so every person can experience content in their chosen language,” AI-Media co-founder and CEO Tony Abrahams said.
“In practice, this allows broadcasters, enterprises and event organisers to reach audiences in multiple languages at once – without the cost and complexity of traditional multilingual interpretation.”

LEXI Voice was recently used at a Worcester Red Sox game in the US for its annual Korea Night, allowing fans to follow live commentary and announcements in Korean.
“What once required specialist interpreters was delivered seamlessly through our AI-driven LEXI Voice – allowing the team to celebrate culture and connect more deeply with their community,” Mr Abrahams said.
The full LEXI suite includes the instant multilingual voice translation tool, Text for real-time captioning and artificial intelligence for intelligent content automation and analysis.
The live translation technology is based on large language AI models and voice synthesis technologies.
