The Queensland government has moved to expand access to incentive payments through its flagship biomedical research institute as part of changes designed to improve accountability, flexibility and commercial outcomes.
The reforms create a new governance framework for the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) Berghofer, and will also expand ministerial and council powers, and modernises integrity and conflict-of-interest provisions.
