Qld bypassed its own rules for $64m in industry grants


Nearly $64 million in grants bypassed the prescribed assessment processes for one of Queensland’s largest industry development funds at the direction of government, the state’s auditor-general has found.

The audit into the Industry Partnership Program released on Thursday also found gaps in reporting, with the government not always recording its rationale for decisions and failing to actively track key outcomes.
