Flinders and RMIT universities will lead a new national research network focused on the materials and technologies needed for Defence’s guided weapons and explosives plan.
Announced on Tuesday, the Australian Energetic Materials Research Network will work on advanced explosives, propellants and pyrotechnics.
The energetic materials and technologies are required for emerging domains such as hypersonics and long range precision fires, both of which are a current focus for Defence.
