Critical infrastructure providers could be forced by government to remove or avoid technology deemed “high-risk” under sweeping changes proposed to plug gaps in existing laws.
The powers, part of a package of urgent legislative reforms, would likely extend existing public sector bans on third-party IT vendors, such as on Russian antivirus software Kaspersky, across one or more critical infrastructure sectors.
Companies could also be granted a US-style “limited, time-bound” reprieve …
