CEFC backs $50m fund for early-stage clean tech startups

Startups pursuing decarbonisation and energy-efficient technologies for heavy industry are the target of a new green investment fund set up by a top venture capital group with backing from the government’s clean energy ‘bank’.

London-headquartered VC investor IP Group Australia (IPGA) on Tuesday announced the launch of its $50 million Climate Catalyst Fund, which will count the state-owned Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) as a cornerstone investor.
