eSafety and OAIC team up for online safety crackdown

Two of the federal government’s digital regulators will team up to enforce the social media age ban and new online age verification standards, as Australia pursues tougher online safety standards.

The eSafety Commissioner and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) on Thursday said they had signed a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) expanding existing collaborations between the two agencies to regulate online safety and privacy standards.
