Chalmers directs PC to probe barriers to startup growth

A new inquiry targeting regulations potentially blunting the growth of startups has been launched off the back of Tuesday’s budget, as the federal government eyes billions in productivity gains through regulatory reform.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers on Tuesday directed the Productivity Commission to launch a “business dynamism” inquiry to identify regulations and administrative rules limiting innovation, productivity and international competitiveness across Australian business.
