Qld wraps govt tech investments in ‘new level of rigour’

All spending out of the Queensland government’s $1 billion digital fund will be reviewed and monitored by a new whole of government oversight committee in an effort to deduplicate work and reduce cost blowouts.

Announced on Tuesday, the move follow a similar governance structure deployed by the NSW government for its successful $2.1 billion Digital Restart Fund, and comes as Queensland’s version passes $300 million in allocation.
