The Australian Computer Society is set to axe about 20 staff across central functions, deepening cuts from last month to the country’s largest professional association for technology workers.
The ACS kicked off its latest redundancy round on Monday and started consulting employees whose roles are affected, according to sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Both Sydney and Melbourne-based staff are understood to be affected by the cuts, which follow a strategic planning review that impacted another 15 employees last month, including senior leaders like chief operating officer Siobhan O’Sullivan.
