Australia’s “cultural relationship with science” needs to change, Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles said this week, igniting new optimism that the upcoming budget will lay new foundational footings for innovation.
Mr Marles, a former shadow Science minister and current Defence minister, said Australia’s current relationship with science has seen too many breakthroughs go uncelebrated and too many kids turning away from STEM.
