Design software maker Figma will begin offering a local hosting option for its Australian customers later this year, as the Californian startup pushes further into one of its fastest growing markets.
The move comes as the company, a competitor to local tech unicorn Canva, gears up for an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange after the collapse of a proposed merger with Adobe.
Australia will be only the second region where the company offers customers the option to store and process data within a specific geographic location, Figma’s general manager for Asia-Pacific, Scott Pugh, told InnovationAus.com.
