Defence plans to spend up to $1.5 billion a year for the next decade on enterprise technology like air-gapped cloud, advanced data platforms for AI and machine learning, and back-end support systems.
The 10-year Defence investment plan released last week shows ICT spending will reach between $12 billion and $15 billion over the decade, an increase of around $4 billion compared to the previous National Defence Strategy released in 2024.
