A scathing Auditor General’s report into maximising Australian industry participation in Defence procurement contracts has drawn mixed reaction from local industry, which called for changes to the way Defence interacts with the market.
Broadly, the local industry welcomed the Defence department accepting all nine recommendations of the Australian National Audit Office report on Maximising Australian industry participation through Defence contracting and its commitment to improve access to contracts.
But while the industry wants to look forward to implementing better systems, there is frustration.
