Future Fund embarks on its own ERP upgrade

The back-end system at the Future Fund will be upgraded over the next three years to a Workday platform, with the agency avoiding the government’s $345 million shared SAP system because of its own “distinct” requirements.

The Future Fund Management Agency has awarded Accenture a $9.8 million, three-year contract to lead the upgrade of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, the agency’s first since corporate systems were established in 2006.

The agency said Accenture was chosen through a “comprehensive procurement process” but declined to say how many suppliers were approached for the work.
