The Albanese government has pledged to top up its flagship AgTech program with another $20 million and continue rolling out grants into 2026 in an election pitch to farmers and suppliers announced on Tuesday.

Tech and farming groups welcomed the new funding for a third round of the On Farm Connectivity Program (OFCP), which co-funds equipment purchases up to $30,000 to help get cutting-edge devices onto farms.

Round one of the OFCP delivered almost $14 million in rebates, while $18 million has already been locked in for the current, second round.
