IGP awards $21m to startups ahead of budget cut

The Albanese government’s beleaguered startup commercialisation program quietly awarded a slew of new grants just days before the scheme’s application process was paused following a $48 million budget cut.

The Industry Growth Program has published more than $21 million in matched-funding grants across 15 projects, more than triple the size and value of its last round, and representing more than 10 per cent of its remaining funding.
