‘Not super sophisticated’: OpenAI says AI has changed the cyber equation


OpenAI says the breach of Medicare’s statistics portal by its agents shows governments and companies must lift cybersecurity spending to meet a world in which AI can uncover vulnerabilities in a fraction of the time humans need.

Fronting a parliamentary inquiry into AI on Tuesday, the company’s chief strategy officer Jason Kwon said that while “not super sophisticated”, the incident was an example of this new reality.
