NRF takes $75m stake in Qld Alumina producer

Taxpayers have a $75 million equity stake in Gladstone alumina maker Alpha HPA after the National Reconstruction Fund made the cornerstone commitment in a $225 million raise on Thursday.

The ASX-listed company has commercialised a world-first technique to produce high purity alumina (HPA) with fewer impurities, less waste and lower emissions.
