New South Wales will extend a major green hydrogen incentive to renewable gas to help close the gap between production costs and sale price as producers in the state look to scale up.
The proposal is contained in the state’s first renewable fuel strategy, which the government expects will cut emissions in hard-to-abate sectors by 2.5 per cent, while driving a $1 billion lift in regional investment.
