The NSW government has been ordered to release documents related to its overhaul of innovation policy, as a lengthy wait for a new state plan and cutbacks to grant programs frustrate the sector.
The Coalition and Greens teamed on Wednesday to move a motion that requires the Minns government to table documents related to its ‘Innovation Blueprint’ within weeks.
InnovationAus.com understands the Blueprint is all but completed and will be released next month. The government will likely be able to claim cabinet in confidence to stop its premature release through the order for documents.
