PsiQuantum says Brisbane site on track as Chicago races ahead

PsiQuantum says it is on track to break ground on the mammoth manufacturing and production facility for its attempts to build the world’s first utility- scale, fault-tolerant quantum computer in Australia.

As work on a sister project in Chicago also races ahead, the California-based startup on Thursday said it had secured the Brisbane Airport site, and that the first construction work would take place before July next year.

PsiQuantum has also opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in the Brisbane CBD as the company prepares to “rapidly” grow its local workforce with 400 additional roles — more than doubling its 280 existing staff worldwide.
