Queensland will create an Office of Commercialisation and appoint a chief innovator under a new 15-year science and innovation plan designed to turn more of the state’s home-grown research into new businesses.
The strategy, to be released on Monday night, will also establish a new Ministerial Science and Innovation Advisory Council, giving industry and research a direct line to the government.
