‘Tell us once’ laws to sweep away data sharing barriers


Australians will be able to update their personal information across multiple federal government agencies in one go, rather than contact them individually, as part of a new bill introducing sweeping changes in the wake of the productivity roundtable.

The Albanese government will on Wednesday introduce an omnibus bill to bring about a so-called ‘tell us once’ approach within Services Australia, while boosting information sharing elsewhere across government.
