Six months after former Industry minister Ed Husic publicly accepted all 11 recommendations of the long-running Pathway to STEM Diversity Review, the federal government has walked back from those commitments.
In March, after spending a year considering the review’s findings, Mr Husic told the SouthStart conference in Adelaide that government had accepted all the report’s recommendations.
But a spokesperson for new Industry minister Tim Ayres now says that the recommendations of the 2023 review are still under formal consideration by the government.
