Victoria unveils first industry policy in a decade

The Victorian government has released its first Industry Policy in almost a decade, promising new direction and long-term stability to businesses powering the state’s economy.

Minister for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing Colin Brooks unveiled the delayed policy on Thursday to replace the government’s Future Industries Strategy, released back in 2016.

It builds on last year’s Economic Growth Statement, which set out the five priority sectors, spanning advanced manufacturing and defence to agribusiness and the circular economy, that will drive future growth.
