Victoria’s state-run VC fund and startup development agency will go under the microscope as part of the most extensive review of the state’s innovation investment settings in a decade.
As the Silver Review continues its search for billions in savings across the public service, the government is setting up a separate review of its supports for the innovation and commercialisation ecosystem.
In an interview with InnovationAus.com, the state’s Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs Danny Pearson said the review would seek to ensure Breakthrough Victoria and LaunchVic are continuing to work “in harmony”.
