The New South Wales government has issued new “Australian-first” guidance directing public servants to set clear authority limits for AI agents and monitor their activity in real-time.
The guidance, which also asks that agencies appoint an owner for each new AI agent, has been developed by the state’s Office for Artificial Intelligence to help agencies set guardrails around the design and use agentic AI.
