US tech giant OpenAI has been asked to self-assess for Australia’s social media ban, as Reddit and streaming site Kick were formally targeted and told to head off a wave of teenagers trying to circumvent the ban.
Reddit, Kick and Meta-owned Threads joined Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X, and YouTube on Wednesday as the first platforms the regulator considers subject to the ban.
