IGP advisers sweat on govt’s $102m cut to program

The contracted advisers for Australia’s flagship commercialisation program face an uncertain future after receiving only six month extensions in the wake of the Albanese government’s $102 million program cut.

The cut, announced last December, was made to help seed new industry initiatives not related to innovation, like interest free loans for tariff affected businesses and to assist with the transitions of a paper mill and mine sites.
