Audit office warns on Canberra’s technology blind spots

The Auditor General on Wednesday said agencies still aren’t doing enough to control their IT environment despite risks “growing considerably” amid the uptake of AI and more sophisticated cyber attackers.

Australia’s Auditor-General Dr Caralee McLiesh also urged central agencies like Finance and the Australian Signals Directorate to take a more active role in driving the change.
