The Health department has extended its contract with a business analyst to help with the implementation of controversial laws requiring the sharing of pathology data to My Health Record by default.
It comes as the federal government prepares to carve-up the decades-long, $770 million Accenture contract underpinning the health data system, and to bring some of this work in-house.
The Department of Health inked a deal with Canberra-based Sententia Consulting earlier this year, and this week extended it for a number of months.
