Australian Space Park backers exited before SA govt pivot


Two of the four companies behind plans to build Australian Space Park in Adelaide had already withdrawn from the joint venture when the South Australian government pulled its funding for the dedicated space manufacturing hub last month.

Quantum startup Q-CTRL and local launch company ATSpace both dropped out of the industry consortium led by Fleet Space Technologies after it was awarded a $20 million Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI) Collaboration stream grant last year.

But Q-CTRL remains supportive of the project, which is now being refined by Fleet Space.
