Sydney-based BluGlass, an ASX-listed company commercialising breakthrough semiconductor manufacturing technology, took out two of the awards, including the ultimate accolade, the Australian Hero Award, as well as the Defence, Dual-Use Technology & Space Award.
A black-tie dinner at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, the Gala provided the opportunity for 460 of Australia’s tech ecosystem to network and celebrate. Award Patrons for a third year, Australia’s Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley AO, and the chair of Xero and Tyro Payments and former CSIRO chair and Telstra chief, David Thodey AO, joined Senator the Hon Tim Ayres, Federal Assistant Minister for Trade and Assistant Minister for Manufacturing, and The Hon Anoulack Chanthivong MP, NSW Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, to celebrate the companies and individuals at the forefront of Australia’s innovation ecosystem.
