DARPA backs Diraq with up to $431m in final leg of quantum race


Diraq has advanced to the third and final stage of a landmark US Defence quantum computing program, unlocking up to $431 million, $73 million of it upfront, to further develop its silicon quantum dot technology.

The Sydney-based startup is one of just six companies to reach Stage C of the Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI) so far, with IBM, IonQ and Atom Computing also moving up on Thursday.
