Adelaide-based sovereign intelligence pioneer Fivecast has won the AI Technology Award at the InnovationAus 2025 Awards for Excellence, presented at a gala dinner at Sydney Town Hall on Thursday night.
Now in its second year, the coveted AI leadership category – sponsored by the National Artificial Intelligence Centre (NAIC) – celebrates companies creating world-leading, non-replicable AI that delivers real national impact.
Fivecast secured the win in an exceptional field, narrowly beating fellow finalists 4AI Systems, AI-Media, Fleet Space Technologies, SenSen Networks Limited and Vection Technologies.
The judging panel was impressed by Fivecast’s flagship platform ONYX, which sifts through hundreds of millions of terabytes of global open-source intelligence (OSINT) data to detect hidden threats in real time.
In an era defined by escalating geopolitical tension, online extremism and rapidly expanding data volumes, Fivecast’s technology provides critical intelligence infrastructure for defence, law enforcement and financial crime prevention.
The company’s suite of platforms, which also include MATRIX and LUNEX, enables automated collection, risk analysis and pattern detection across the open web, social media and dark-web forums.
Fivecast has rapidly emerged as a major Australian export story, with deployments across the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Spain and Thailand, each delivered via segregated cloud instances to maintain strict data sovereignty.
