The Senate committee conducting an inquiry into AI and data centres has scuttled its hearing in Canberra scheduled for Thursday, apparently falling victim to the Greens’ unexpected leadership change.
Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young – who chairs the committee – had over the weekend demanded that OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei to appear at the hearing in Canberra on Thursday.
Both men declined the written invitation …
