Houssos demands more from NSW govt’s $42b spend

The NSW government’s devolved procurement framework will be reshaped into a hub and spoke model next year as part of Minister Courtney Houssos’s sweeping changes to how the state leverages its $42 billion annual spend.

A plan for the structural changes is being mapped out and will be unveiled in January in the Minns government’s response to warnings of a gap in procurement oversight and public service silos.

InnovationAus.com can also reveal draft legislation for a new oversight commission will be circulated later this year, as the Finance minister puts the foot down on procurement reform.
