NRF piles into driverless vehicle maker’s US$40m Series B

Labor’s National Reconstruction Fund on Wednesday poured in more than half of a US$40 million Series B for Melbourne manufacturer Applied EV to bring its driverless vehicles to market.

The industry fund’s $30.7 million equity stake is one of the clearest examples yet of its attempt to generate wider industrial capabilities and export potential from the taxpayer investments.
