Space Agency board empty after 12 months

The Australian Space Agency remains without an advisory board more than 12 months after it was emptied as part of a far-reaching review of the agency’s governance arrangements.

The board was deferred while the Department of Industry, Science and Resources undertook the review last year, with at least one member jettisoned partway into a two-year term.

Four other board members, including former WA chief scientist Peter Klinken, finished up in April 2024, while the chair, former inaugural head of the space agency, finished up in December 2023.
