Australia’s space agency is set to create an expanded panel arrangement to source external analysis and advice for launch permits and other space activity approvals, as it fights off concerns over application wait times.
With a growing number of launches and recoveries expected in the coming years, the Australian Space Agency (ASA) will use the ASA Space Capabilities and Services Panel to augment work being done internally by staff.
The panel will replace an existing arrangement covering similar capabilities in the form of the ASA Support Services Panel, which been in place for the five years and is set to expire in October.
