Three-person expert panel to lead SA Royal Commission into AI


A former top trade unionist will lead a broad South Australian Royal Commission examining whether the safe use of artificial intelligence could transform the state’s economy and improve government services.

Former ACTU assistant secretary and former Federal Court judge Iain Ross will head the commission, supported by assistant commissioners Kate Pounder, a former Tech Council of Australia chief executive, and computer scientist Christopher Manning.
