The Greens have called on the Albanese government to get behind a private members bill that would ban dodgy contractors from working with the Commonwealth for up to five years.
Senator Barbara Pocock wrote to Finance minister Katy Gallagher this week to try secure her support for the bill introduced in response to the government’s decision to let PwC Australia resume bidding for new government work.
Despite ongoing investigations, a months-long examination released in August cleared the Big Four consulting giant after finding it had “significantly improved its ethical operation” in the wake of the tax leaks scandal.
