Concerns are growing over the total cost of a new climate data platform being built by Accenture, after an official was unable to provide the figure on Monday and the government would not commit to releasing it.
Accenture has been contracted through the Bureau of Meteorology to deliver the platform under a three-year, $15.7 million deal, despite not being initially assessed as the technically optimal supplier.
