Accenture’s election tech deal leaps to $67m in six months

An outsourced technology project to operationalise new political donation disclosures and election spending cap laws has more than doubled in contracted costs to almost $67 million in six months, raising transparency and integrity concerns.

The Australian Electoral Commission’s deal with Accenture was originally disclosed as a two and a half year, $30 million arrangement last December for the delivery of a funding and disclosure platform.
